Centre County, Pennsylvania

Historic Centre County Pennsylvania isn't just another college town. Penn State University is just one of the landmarks that brings visitors to Central PA. One of the largest 4 th of July fireworks shows in the nation and the Bellefonte Victorian Christmas are two of the major events that bring visitors into the area. Central Pennsylvania also features a plethora of outdoor activities, from mountain biking to rock climbing and caving, from golf to fishing and hiking. The Central PA Convention & Visitor's Bureau website offers information on accommodations, dining, outdoor adventure, meeting planning, and so much more.

Since 1927, there has been a July 4th celebration in Centre County…in 2004 people witnessed what the Travel Channel called "one of the best fireworks displays in the world". And, a celebration like this only happens with a huge commitment from the hundreds of volunteers who work to make the show a huge success each year. The Central PA 4th Fest is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation with an all volunteer board and staff.

Penn State Ag Progress Days, Penn State’s annual August event held in Rock Springs, is a venue for agriculturalists to show-off what’s new in the world of Agriculture. There are field demonstrations, farm safety demonstrations, farm tours, pesticide education programs, equine exhibits and educational programs, environmental exhibits and programs, equipment dealers and more.
